In 2004 Mitch dropped his spanners where he worked as a mechanic restoring Lancias at the famed workshop of Barry Waterhouse in Camberwell London to start his career as staff photographer on AUTOCAR Magazine.

The brief from then art director Rob Aherne was simple.

Drive from Teddington to the Sahara desert with Colin Goodwin.

So loaded with 200 rolls of Fuji Velvia and his own medium format digital camera (a sorely missed Contax 645 with Phase One p65 back) Mitch and Colin successfully drove to the Sahara desert.

Needless to say the images he returned with were spectacular making an eight page feature story in the magazine and the start of his career which has seen him regularly shoot for OCTANE magazine, Ferrari, Bang and Olufsen and several other discerning clients.

When not shooting cars Mitch enjoys building competition Fiat and Lancia engines and continuing development on his Lancia Delta Integrale Fiat 131 Abarth Grp4 rep. Fiat Strada Abarth 130tc and 116 Alfa Guilietta. More than enough rust to keep the TIG welder busy.
